Jumper
Today in chapel there was a lesson on John 21:1-7, when Peter jumps impulsively into the water, to reach Christ on the shore. The focus of the message was on who would be jumpers here at Biola, and what it would look like if we were jumpers. At the end, he had everyone stand if they wanted to jump.
Afterwards, I've had several conversations with people, about their difficulties, trying to find God, trying to have the right priorities, trying to make themselves jump. I feel so blessed to have these opportunities, especially after reconnecting with a high school friend.
I was talking with another close friend, and both of us were struggling over what jumping needs to look like in our lives. How do we need to change? I want to jump, but sometimes it feels like I don't know how. But, everyone jumps differently, it becomes a matter of will in the end. Bon voyage!
