what child is this?

so another birthday has come and gone. i wrote, but not here. now, i am writing here, because I'm hoping I'll keep talking, and that in that way I'll start listening to other people, too. But that's to find out. For now, perhaps a brief recap is in order...
- last semester i learned about knowing God. I learned that I don't. This new one's stranger.
- I turned 20 on the same day as the start of my junior year.
- I've felt the farthest from God I ever have. I've desired to be near him more than I ever have.
- I've realized I love the arts. music. dance. hip hop. guitar, bass. singing. it's healing stuff.
- I know I want to be a peace-maker, but first I have to be one in the small things...
- I heard Justin Kalama. I fell in love with his songs, including Small Things
- I had to balance holiday time between the parents for the first time this year. tis the season?
- I love my family more passionately than ever before.
- I realized being a friend's harder than it looks.

Something else. I'm going to Uganda.
